DENTAL MATERIALS

Dental Resin Materials & Evaluation for Production Workflows

Select dental resin by application, printer compatibility, documentation and complete post-processing requirements — not by wavelength alone.

START WITH THE APPLICATION

Organize Material Selection Around What You Produce

Application scope follows the current PioCreat material documentation.

Models

Diagnostic, orthodontic and restorative model workflows.

Orthodontics

Model and aligner-related production workflows.

Restorative

Selected temporary and restorative material applications.

Surgical Guides

Guide materials selected by current application documentation.

Casting

Dental casting-pattern materials and supporting workflows.

Denture & Auxiliary

Denture, try-in, gingiva and related auxiliary applications where relevant.

MATERIAL EVALUATION

How We Evaluate Material Fit

Compatibility is a workflow question, not a wavelength label. Review the complete path from intended application through production evaluation.

Application

Define the intended production workflow.

Printer / Wavelength

Confirm the equipment platform and optical system.

Print Profile

Use the appropriate printer and material profile.

IFU / TDS / SDS

Review the current application and safety documentation.

Wash

Follow the material-specific cleaning process.

Cure

Complete the documented post-curing process.

Production Evaluation

Evaluate the material in the intended production workflow.

OPEN MATERIAL SYSTEMS

Material Freedom Still Requires Validation

385 nm or 405 nm compatibility alone does not prove performance, intended use, validated post-processing or printer-specific compatibility.

Dimensional Performance

Confirm the material and profile can support the target geometry and process.

Mechanical Performance

Review property data relevant to the intended workflow.

Intended Use

Wavelength does not establish intended use or regional indication.

Validated Wash & Cure

Post-processing requirements remain material-specific.

Printer-Specific Fit

Confirm the profile and printer-specific compatibility documentation.

Current Documentation

Use the current IFU, TDS and SDS applicable to the material.

WORKFLOW INTERACTION

Why Manufacturer Material R&D Matters

A manufacturer developing printer hardware, resin, profiles, washing and curing can evaluate interactions across the workflow. Final material selection still follows current documentation and production requirements.

Printer Hardware

The equipment platform establishes the operating environment.

Resin

Application-specific materials define processing requirements.

Print Profiles

Profiles connect material behavior to the printer.

Washing & Curing

Post-processing completes the documented workflow.

MATERIAL FAQ

Evaluate Compatibility With the Complete Workflow

What determines dental resin compatibility?

Compatibility depends on the intended application, printer and wavelength, print profile, IFU, material data and validated washing and curing workflow.

Is 405 nm resin compatible with every 405 nm printer?

No. A matching wavelength alone does not establish dimensional performance, mechanical performance, intended use, processing requirements or printer-specific compatibility.

What are IFU, SDS and TDS?

The IFU describes instructions for use, the SDS provides safety information and the TDS provides technical product data. Use the current documentation applicable to the selected material.

Can third-party dental resin be evaluated on an open system?

Evaluation may be possible where the equipment and material workflow support it, but the application, profile, documentation, washing, curing and production result still require review.

Which resin should I test first?

Start with the application you need to produce, your printer model and your target workflow. ADDITORYX can then review the available PioCreat material options and documentation.
